Training the Next Generation of Automation Talent
At Robotic Automation™, innovation has always been at the core of what we do—whether we’re deploying advanced robotic systems or designing custom automation solutions for our customers. This year, that commitment extends even further as we welcome two talented engineering interns to our in‑house Solutions Team: Calvin Ngo and Michael Evans.
Calvin is currently studying B. Mechatronic Engineering at UNSW, bringing a strong passion for robotics, control systems, and hands-on hardware problem‑solving. Michael joins us as a final‑year Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering student at UTS, bringing fresh perspectives in design, systems integration, and real‑world engineering application.
Together, they’re gaining practical exposure to automation technologies, robotic programming, safety systems, and the end‑to‑end process of building reliable industrial solutions. For our team, this is an opportunity to nurture future engineers who will help shape the direction of robotics in Australia.
Why We Invest in Interns
Supporting emerging engineers is more than an internal initiative—it’s an investment in the broader automation industry. With the rapid growth of robotics adoption across manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing, the demand for skilled professionals is rising faster than ever. Programs like ours help close that skills gap by giving students hands‑on access to real projects, real systems, and real customers.
Strengthening Australia’s STEM Pipeline
By working with students from leading engineering programs, we continue to back the national STEM initiative—encouraging young talent to pursue careers in high‑tech fields and bolstering the future workforce. Calvin and Michael’s work within our team showcases how industry and education can collaborate to produce engineers who are not only technically capable but industry‑ready from day one.
Looking Forward
Internships like these benefit everyone: our team gains fresh ideas and energy; the interns gain invaluable experience; and the industry gains future leaders who have already been immersed in real-world robotics.
We’re proud to be part of their journey—and excited to see how their contributions will help shape the next chapter of automation in Australia.
